Ever realized the thought of .....What you are doing is for yourself or others....Certainly the answer would be "Its for me/myself or to the max in certain cases..."us" It sounds great when we think that we are doing something for ourselves (parents and dearones apart) and it seems perfect in every way...!!
But just give a pause..and think "Dint I do this because my friend wanted to......as I would have liked it this way!!" The other day me and my friend was planning to have lunch together near my friend's office where not many options for a restaurant is available :) After those days of no nonveg days (monday and tuesday) I was excited since morning of having detailed chinese chicken lunch and was dreaming all time about the chinese food near my friend's office. Just as I met my friend...it so happened that due to some meetings being lined up we had to gobble something as quick as possible. this reduced my detailed to just chicken chinese. Next the situation was to go back to office quickly...we had to opt for the nearby restaurant and have South Indian which was of least interest to me!! phew.....If I would ever tel this to my friend the only question would be..."Y dint you tel me then????" and wel..the answer would be simply my title.......in return all I would get is a... :-) (smile) nice aint it?
Thats the story when in the case for a friend...but havent you realized you have done sacrifices for unknown people even....Well...I was travelling with my family at our native with our family driver to some local place...A family of out of state visitors happened to ask us the route for some other local place...Our kindhearted driver (always takes a short cut route so that he gets a better meter value on his distance meter) asked the touriusts to follow our vehicle as we were going half way through the place.He took the car just for the sake of those people through the long proper route and for which they would be ever grateful to the driver :) and so it was never for anyone of us but just for the tourists :)
When you are begging for a taxi/rickshaw after your working hours or to reach on your working hours...you first ask for "xxxx location" then it gets changed to "Fine..if not xxxx where will you go?? " then when the cab/rick driver asks you..you still would say.... Its for YOU!!!!
Its just that the fact of "for you" stays the same...but characters differ and it also happens to be unknown or non related people :)
Parents, Sibblings & Couples are excluded from this discussion as we do lots and lots of things for them and which we always feel is a part of us and nothing more. people in a relationship or people who love one another do lot more things for each other which is highly precious and unexpressed and incomparable!!
